This Privacy Policy explains how Charlie Studio ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Poke Friends, including the mobile apps and website at pokemongo.charliestudio.app.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to users of the Poke Friends iOS and Android apps and visitors to our website. Poke Friends is an independent fan-made service and is not affiliated with Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, or Nintendo.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide and information created when you use the Service:

  • Account and profile information: trainer name, trainer code, level, profile message, city, country, timezone, language, and email address if you sign in with email
  • User-generated content: chat messages, raid room titles and details, likes, dislikes, and similar content you submit
  • Device and technical data: app version, operating system, push notification token, approximate IP address, and language settings
  • Purchase data: product identifiers and transaction records needed to verify in-app purchases through Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment card number
  • Usage data: actions in the app such as copying a trainer code, opening chat, or using move-up features, collected through analytics
  • Local device data: information stored on your device such as a cached profile and copied trainer codes

We do not require access to your Pokémon GO account. Trainer codes are the codes you choose to share so other players can send a friend request in Pokémon GO.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide the Service, including profiles, search, chat, raid rooms, and push notifications
  • Filter, review, and remove objectionable content and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Handle reports, blocks, suspensions, and related safety operations
  • Verify purchases, restore entitlements, and prevent fraud
  • Measure app performance, fix bugs, and understand which features are used
  • Show ads to users who have not purchased ad removal, and measure ad performance
  • Communicate about the Service, including support replies
  • Comply with law and platform requirements

4. How We Share Information

Other users can see the profile information you publish, such as your trainer name, trainer code, country, and profile message. Chat and raid content is visible to participants in those rooms.

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:

  • Google Firebase for authentication, database, cloud functions, analytics, crash reporting, and push delivery
  • Google AdMob for advertising
  • Apple and Google for in-app purchase verification
  • Hosting and email providers used to run the website and receive support mail

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users from harm, or in connection with a merger, sale, or similar transaction. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Retention

We keep profile and account data while your account is active. Chat and raid content is kept as needed to operate those features and may be archived or deleted on a rolling basis. Reports, blocks, and enforcement records are kept long enough to handle safety reviews, repeat abuse, and legal requests. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it for law, security, or dispute resolution.

6. Security

We use industry-standard services and access controls to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

Poke Friends is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age in your country if it is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can edit your profile in the app, sign out, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To make a request, email charliestudio.app@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder. You can also control push notifications in your device settings, and advertising preferences through your Apple or Google account settings where available.

9. International Processing

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. We use the Service only after you agree to these practices as described in this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version number is 1.0. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, ask you to review the new version. The latest version is always posted on this page.

11. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to charliestudio.app@gmail.com.
